Backing up your computer verses archiving

I often find people get confused with the idea of backups vs archives. Both are very important ways to keep information, yet each has it\'s own unique characteristics and purpose. I found this article on multiply.com that helps clear up the mystery.

To summarize, if a record is copied for protection, we can probably call it a backup. If the same record is stored on some media with particular concern with immediate access, it is probably safe to call it an archive.
<a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=703><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=703 border="0"/>

BWebCentral Donation Database

Sometimes I get up to 50 calls a day from various charities all hoping a could spare a few bucks. While I am a big believer in giving, it can be hard to donate \'on the spot\'. There are so many worthwhile organizations, how can I keep track of them all and afford to support them all?

So I created the donation database to help. A simple list of organizations that I can visit on a frequent basis and give - on my own time in the comfort of my own home - online.

Anyone can add their favorite cause to my database, and anyone can visit it follow the links and Please Give and help make our world a better place.

I have been waiting to finish this project for some time. I have finally released my first beta version of the donation database.
<a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=786><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=786 border="0"/>

Skin Deep: Cosmetic Safety Database - Special Report

Does your sunscreen work? An investigation of nearly 1,000 brand-name sunscreen products finds that 4 out of 5 contain chemicals that may pose health hazards or don\'t adequately protect skin from the sun\'s damaging rays. Some of the worst offenders are leading brands like Coppertone, Banana Boat, and Neutrogena.

The new EWG database allows consumers to compare sunscreens on different characteristics--without scanning labels for complex chemicals. Overall, Badger SPF 30, Peter Thomas Roth Titanium SPF 30, and Lavera Sunscreen Neutral SPF 40, received top marks. This does not that mean they are perfect, cautions Houlihan, but that they will do the best in keeping you sun safe.
<a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=865><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=865 border="0"/>
