Want a N64 System (N64 2 Controllers with Zelda)?

This was my first attempt to sell an item on Ebay. At the time of writing this blog there are still 2 days left, if you want to make a bid yourself. Though by the time you read it, the auction maybe over.

I found it very easy to add an item to auction. The two lessons I learned was a) Sell in an alternate category if possible and b) be sure to include international shipping cost calculator which I left out by accident.

The item description is also very important for users doing searches on EBay. In this example, I never used the world Nintendo in the short description, and it doesn\'t show up as easily on searches. Definitely something to pay more attention to in the future.
<a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=712><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=712 border="0"/>

Lessons learned from my first E-Bay sale (Now trying IPAQ 3100rx PDA)

EBay Lessons Learned

Well, the good news is, I sold my first item on E-Bay, yes the
N64 I offered on E-Bay went for about $20

The bad news, it doesn\'t look like I will be paid for it, and may have to
relist it. Fortunatly, it looks like the relisting fee will be free, and I am
hoping to be able modifiy it slightly based on the lessons I have learned so far.

In the meantime, I\'m doing it again this time trying to sell a slightly
broken iPAQ. The touch portion of the display is not working so if you like
to take apart things and see how they work, this might be a good deal for you.
I am also including all the accessories, 2 batteries, USB Cables, power cables and
manual. So if you have an iPAQ already this might be a good deal on extra accessories.

E-Bay Lessons Learned

It\'s worth the extra $ to post into 2 categories
The title of your item is VERY important and needs to use lots of KEYWORDS
(eg: Not using the word nintendo)
Use images in earch results
Default search results are time ending soonest
It\'s all about people finding it in a search
Way to ge around mulitpe images (host the file yourself !)
Well written descriptions
Do a search ourself to get an idea where it fits into things
Include Business Card, related marketing material inside the packagte
Pack everything first, invest in a scale and measure tape for shipping costs
List all items in a package in the description

Deal of the week - June 6

Oh how I wish I could own this combo PDA/GPS. This is certainly a cool item. It\'s an ALL-IN-ONE swiss army PDA. I\'ve looked at these things before and they are easiy over $500. But here are some refurbished ones on ebay for 50% of that price. Plus it looks like many of them come with the whole car kit, and accessories.

I\'ve always wanted to try Geo-caching, and this would be an excellent device for it. Plus with bluetooth, I could send my location information from my cell phone (or maybe find my car when I loose it in the parking lot !)

I paid over $300 for my last PDA which did not have the integrated GPS, How much more could they possibly stick in these things anyway.

I really love the \'turn it on it\'s side view and it looks just like any other GPS.
<a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=824><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=ff4c7d657c674ca3b43ceaba5c97eae9&u=824 border="0"/>
