ArticleSwap.biz is dedicated to bringing back useful, high quality content to the World Wide Web.

Who are we? and what are we trying to do?

Today, we tend to live in a 'click' world, everything we want can be just a click a way. One thing that is not easily a click away is called SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This is the set of techniques that help our content get ranked at the top of search engines. In theory, the higher our content is ranked, the higher the quality and volume of traffic coming to our site.

At Articleswap.biz we hope to make SEO just a click a way. You click it, and we optimize it..Oh..Did I mention this service is for FREE?

How it works?

Simply drag this bookmarklet (+ArticleSwap.biz) to your bookmark toolbar. If you are using Firefox this is a dimple drag and drop. If you are using IE, you may have to right-click and choose "Add to favorites". You will get a warning that the content might be unsafe because it contains javascript.

The bookmarklet is a simple piece of javascript that allows you to easily add an article/blog entry to our system. It is not required that you use the bookmarklet but it makes submitting a LOT easier.

Goto the permalink entry of your article, and click the bookmarklet, a small window will pop-up to confirm the information, and then click okay..and that's it !

You will also have the option to add a description. This is meant to be a brief intro teaser to your article and what it is about. Although not required, this is recommended since it will help boost your article during the promotion process.

What happens next?

Here's an overview of what happens to your submitted article:

It will be added to several social bookmaking sites including del.icio.us, technorati, and optionally digg (if you choose to submit it).
It is immediately placed on our RSS Feed where it can be captured by all those that subscribe to our program. It is categorized by the keywords you choose, so please choose carefully.
Links to your article maybe pushed to other sites that wish to carry content based on the keywords you have chosen. (For example: If you were to write an article about meditation, sites about meditation maybe added (automatically or manually) to the list of articles on the affiliated site)
It will be fed to numerous search engines including Google, Yahoo, Excite. When one of these crawlers visit or site to index us we carefully feed your article information and take care of adding specific optimizations based on your title, description, and keywords.
It will be reviewed by a member of the ArticleSwap.biz team to ensure it is not blatant product advertising, offensive, or bashing other individuals.
If the article is accepted, the folks at ArticleSwap.biz will monitor newsgroups, bulletin boards, social sites, Q&A sites for relevant questions that your article may help answer. When such items are found your article will be posted as a possible response to the question. This ONLY occurs if your article is relevant to the topic at hand, it is a manual process and not a 'board bot'
In some cases (depending on popularity) your article may get a "Buzz Boost". you may notice several instant hits to your article soon after publishing. This is normal, and does not necessarily guarantee ongoing traffic. As your web content is fed to our network many people will see it and possibly read it and move on. If your article is well written and informative, it will likely remain popular sustain a fair amount of traffic over the long term.

What's the catch?

In all cases, when you submit an article to the site, we reference your actual article you have provided. However, we place a utility toolbar at the top of the article (using frames). This toolbar allows users to bookmark, change language of your article, and has a link back to our site. You can remove this toolbar if you like, though we would appreciate it if you refrain from doing this. After all we are offering our SEO service FOR FREE.

When a search engine bot visits our site and requests one of your articles, we feed the article from your site (with some SEO modifications) Your article maybe listed on the top page of search engine results, however the URL will contain our site, which in turn points to your site by way of frames.

Although we are currently logging the incoming requests that link to your article, at present you may not be able to easily see this from your stats.

Where do I go from here?

The first suggestion I would make (after grabbing the bookmarklet above). Is to subscribe to a good stats program such as Statcounter or Google Analytics. These programs are reat at keeping track of visits to your site and popularity of articles you have written/posted.

Try monitoring your stats both before and after adding an article to our system and see for yourself how well our service works.

What are the rules?

Your submission must be an article, blog entry, podcast, vidcast, tutorial etc. It must be content that helps others, or shares information. Submitting regular websites (commercial or otherwise) that do not contain informative article topics WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE SYSTEM.

Articles can be tagged similar to many of the popular social bookmarking sites and these tags can be searched upon by the user within the ArticleSwap.Biz system. Please choose your keywords carefully.

Can I link to your articles on my site?

Absolutely ! This is an excellent way to easily add content to your existing site.

There are 2 easy ways to do this.

1) If you have an ability to add/view RSS to your website/blog. Simply add this link
